Default VMWare to Single-window mode

Can someone please tell me how to setup VMWare to always launch in single-window mode. I can find no setting to tell it to do this and it always launches in unity mode.

You're probably launching a Windows app you've added to the Dock. Instead, you can drag the virtual machine icon from the Documents > Virtual Machines to the documents section of your Dock (far right) and click on it and that will launch your machine in Single window mode.
