Dang! Deleted wrong hard drive in 1.12

I somehow delete the scsi drive which was acting as the main bootable drive with xp on it. I cannot find the xp vmx file to edit. I did find the Windows XP Professional.vmwarevm that is 33 gigs big.

What do I do next to recover this virtual hard drive? Thanks in advance.

Need a Screenshot of the Virtual Machine Bundle Package as in the attached example showing name, file size and date/time stamp showing. Also archive the .vmx and .log files in the bundle and attach to reply post. Have a look at the "Virtual Machine Files" section in for the location of the requested files.

open the .vmx file in text edit and make the following changes (6th Line in .vmx file)

Thank you! I did also need to set the IDE drives that were present to "FALSE" because the system tried to boot off of one of them and failed. I then restored them to "TRUE" after the XP booted.

To the Fusion programming team: I believe this deletion of the hard drive occurred in this way:

1. I made a new 20 gb hard drive (my 3rd hard drive)

2. I then decided to make a larger 30 gb hard drive (thus my 4th hard drive)

3. I then deleted the 20 gb hard drive (which was my original bootable drive). This was the one that was 3rd in the hard disk list.

4. The reason I mistook this drive was because my original bootable 20 gb drive showed up as the 3rd drive (not the first drive). Somehow the order of drives got switched when adding the 4th hard drive and confused me since it was the same size as the one I previously made. Also I thought I had mistakenly added that 3rd drive as a SCSI as I had no idea that fusion made the first drive a scsi drive by default.

Please make sure that in a future update that the switching of the order of drives does not happen. Also, the user should see or be alerted to the fact that they were about to remove the bootable drive.

That would make this less likely to happen for all users.
