What guest OS are you using? The Mac DVD eject key doesn't translate to the guest. For Win XP guest, open My Computer, right click the DVD drive and click "eject". Close the tray by pushing it. There is a Win util - CDTool - that does this more conveniently.

Thanks modular747

Yes I do use My Computer to open DVD, but was with hope that there is another way to do it

The hot-from-the-oven VMware Fusion 1.1 beta should solve this problem, by allowing you to use your Mac's eject key. Go get it Smiley Happy

Fusion 1.1 was able to fix the problem I was having with the DVD tray not opening for my Mac Pro, but the upgrade didn't solve the problem with the tray then closing. Do I just push it closed or is it better to wait for the next upgrade to get the eject button fixed to close it as well?
