When I create a Custom Network (without DHCP and disconnected from the host) every guest connected to that custom network can see all the network traffic. It acts like a network hub (rather than a switch). In contrast, when I create a "LAN Segment" in Linux VMware Workstation guests connected to the LAN Segment can only see packets addresses to their MAC. It acts like a switch (rather than a hub).
For my use case (teaching networking concepts), I prefer the VMware Workstation behavior as it mimics real hardware more closely (hubs are rare these days). Is there any way for me to configure Fusion to behave like Workstation (a network switch rather than a hub)?
