Correct resolution settings for unity with MBP retina in Fusion 5

What settings should I use to run vmware 5 with XP on my MBP retina in unity mode? I've tried the 'use full resolution for retina' setting, and also various settings within xp. Whatever I select either seems not to fit correctly on the screen, or looks pixellated and awful.

No-one knows? So is the claim that there is 'retina display optimization for a crisp and detailed experience' in this version true, then?

You'll need support from the guest operating system to ever be able to take advantage of the Retina screen in the same way OSX does. Currently any OS (being Windows XP, 7 or Linux) in Unity mode will look ugly. That's not something VMware can fix.

Where Fusion 5 takes advantage of the Retina screen is in full screen mode, where you'll be able to run in a 2880x1800 resolution and where a lower resolution like 1920x1200 will be scaled down propertly and displayed very nicely.
