Connection Problems in Fusion when VPN is up.

VPN Client installed on Mac: Cisco VPN Client 4.9.01

Mac OS X: 10.5.8

Guest OS inside the Fusion image: Win XP Pro, SP2

I start my VPN client directly in the MAC environment. Historically, I have had no problems connecting to both internal (Company) and external network (The web) resources within Fusion. I used the defalt NAT network setup. Recently, I have had to enable VOIP\SoftPhone software that requires me to change my Fusion network settings to Bridged. It does not appear to work when the VPN is up:

  • Bridge enabled | VPN connected = cannot connect to google.com (or the VOIP server I need to connect to obviously...)

  • Bridge enabled | VPN disconnected = no connection problems to Google.

  • NAT enabled | VPN connected = no connection problems to either internal or external resources (Except of course the VOIP server...)

So, it sure seems to be the combination of bridged networking, and the VPN being up. I need both...

Any ideas would be appreciated. Would the Windows VPN client installed into my Fusion image help here?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.
