Connection Failed

I recently updated my MacOS to Big Sur with VMware Fusion 12 installed. I am running Kali on the VM and I've since not been able to connect to the internet. I receive the error message "Connection failed -  Activation of network connection failed".  I just updated to Fusion 12.1.0 today and the issue still persist. Can I please  assist with this error? Thank you

Are you using Bridged or NAT? Could you try to disconnect and reconnect the network adapter via VM settings -> Network Adapter?
