Compatibility with Apple M1 & M2 Chips

I have heard rumors that Fusion is not compatible with Apple's M1 & M2 chips. Is this the case?

Looking at the system requirements for Fusion, I see that v12.2.0 and newer will work on any Intel-based Mac that supports Big Sur (OS 11) and v13 will work on any Mac that supports Monterey (OS12) or later.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Ben

You need Fusion 13 for an M1 or M2 Mac.

You will be able to run a variety of different ARM-based OSes in your VMs, check this unofficial guide for details: https://communities.vmware.com/t5/VMware-Fusion-Documents/The-Unofficial-Fusion-13-for-Apple-Silicon...

You will not be able to run x86-based OSes in your VMs.
