Carbon Copy Cloner

Am planning  to try backing  up using the latest version of Carbon Copy Cloner.

When I performm my first backup will it copy my Virtual Machine?

I have the latest version of VMware Fusion and have Windows 7 running in my only virtual machine.

Thanks in advance.

Alan

As long as it's a normal file based Virtual Machine then yes CCC will back it up however if it's the Boot Camp partition being run as a Virtual Machine CCC does not backup the Boot Camp partition.  For that you'd need WinClone.

Yes this works without an issue, recently had to do the same thing to change someone's file system to not case sensitive, that partition was also encrypted et al ...

CCC did the job without fail ... And no, I'm not affiliated Smiley Wink

[edit] forgot to mention he had a few VM's on his drive, including 1 Windows 7 VM [/edit]
