Cannot install Adobe Reader 8

Hi,

I am running Vista SP1 using Fusion on OSX 10.5.2, and have had no problems installing various other programs. However, trying to install Adobe Reader 8, I get the following error: "The Temp folder is on a drive that is full or is inaccessible. Free up space on the drive or verify that you have write permission on the Temp folder."

Of course I have write permission, I am the Admin, and there is tons of space. So, what can this be?

Click the Start button and in the Start Search text box type CMD and press Enter.

In the Command Prompt copy & paste the following command then press Enter and post back what it returns.

SET | FIND /I "TEMP"

If you are still having problems, you can try downloading the full offline installer and make sure to save it right to your desktop.

May I also suggest not using Adobe Reader at all which is bloatware but rather go with Foxit Reader:

Sorry, my impatience got the better of me. It seems I am not the only one with problems after updating to SP1, so I went back to the pre-SP1 VM and installed the newer Acrobat Reader from the www. It all worked.

I'll be holding on updating to SP1 until all the issues have been addressed.
