Cannot copy-paste from Mac OS X to Ubuntu Server 64-bit 24.04.03 LTS

As per the title, I cannot copy-paste into the terminal using VMWare Fusion terminal. I usually ssh into my VM, but right now I can only work on the VMWare fusion window. I have copy-paste enabled in settings and already have installed `open-vm-tools-desktop`, to no avail.

Hi,

The copy-paste feature depends on the open-vm-tools-desktop package as you already correctly deducted.

That package by itself depends on you running a supported desktop (gnome or KDE for example)

Without running a desktop environment there is no integrated copy & paste.
