Can you use a Windows 7 free trial on VMware Fusion?

Not sure explicitly what you're referring to however if you have an OS install CD, DVD or ISO Image of a Supported OS (and some not supported) you should be able to install it in a Virtual Machine.  If it's an upgrade disc/image you cannot use the Easy Install feature however you can still install it in most cases with a workaround if/when needed.

BTW, Windows 7 is a supported OS.

The reason I worded my previous reply the way I did was because just saying "Can you use a Windows 7 free trial on VMware Fusion?" and now "I downloaded a free trial of Windows 7 on the Internet." is not adequate information to be any more explicit and specific then I already have.  In other words, I have no idea what exactly you downloaded or from where!   So, without explicit and specific information all I can say is reread my first reply.
