I installed El Capitan on my Mac (fresh install). I installed Fusion and copied the Virtual Machines folder. I followed the instructions below to set the permissions of the folder, even though they already appeared to be OK. I have full control to every file and folder. I still get the "Unable to open .../Virtual Machines.localized/Windows 10.vmwarevm/Windows 10-disk1.vmdk Insufficient permission to access file" error when I try to start it. I repaired disk permissions, and even booted into Recovery mode and reset my home directory permissions to default via the resetpassword utility. I can't figure out what the real problem is here.
