I have been able to configure the system to launch all office docs in Mac OS X via the Explorer. However, when I try to launch attachments in Outlook I get the following error:
The file C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.outlook\etc.... is not in a folder shared with the host and cannot be opened by the host.
Parallels can do this, but I have found VMWare to be more stable and responsive and prefer to use it.
Suggestions?
You need to configure Outlook to keep temporary folders in a HGFS shared folder. I don't recall the exact steps required, but it's come up in the forums before and a search should prove helpful.

You are a saint and a scholar, sir!

Worked like a charm. Not pretty, mind you, but it works.
