No matter what shenanigans I try with my browsers, I can't get a free personal license key for Fusion. I have an account and all the data in it looks fine but when I try to get the license key, I see this:
Your download request has been received and is under review for download eligibility.
Confirm that you provided a valid first name, last name, address, and country when you registered. If you did not, update your My VMware profile and try to download again.

Has anybody been able to get a free license key recently? Is there a magic link to do so? Can someone from Vmware contact me?
Are you in a country under an embargo or trading restrictions?
Did you try contacting them quoting the reference as per the email?
VMTN is a user community, not a formal way of requesting that VMware contact you.
No, I'm in the United States.
I've tried contacting Support on the phone at 877-486-9273 and I always get told by the automated system to go online and talk to the robot. The robot's not helping.
Is there another phone number or email address I can try?
Any chance you're using a VPN that is spoofing your location so VMware thinks you aren't where you say you are?
Nope, no VPN.
One thought. You state that you went online to talk to the "robot". By that do you mean the following?
Thanks for that direction. Unfortunately, I'm not seeing a Virtual Assistant pop up. Here's what I see:
Well ain't that a kick in the head.
I've purchased Fusion from VMware in the past, maybe that's why I'm getting something different than you.
Wonder what happens if you click "Next"..
Use a clean browser - no adblock/scriptblock/etc plugins. Preferably something other than Safari (especially if you have the private relay enabled).
Worked for me yesterday, from behind a VPN, located in Australia.
Is this the page you were visiting? https://customerconnect.vmware.com/group/vmware/evalcenter?p=fusion-player-personal
I've bought from VMware in the past as well, but it was from a different email address I no longer have access to.
I ended up clicking Next and it had me fill out a form with free form text input to describe my problem.
Hmmm... my browser is Safari but I don't have an adblocker and I didn't do it in Private Browsing mode. I'll try again with Chrome.
And yes, that's the link I used.
I just tried with Chrome. No ad blockers or plugins. No VPN.
Same result. "Unable to process your request. Please try again later." And I've been trying for 20 days now on and off. And now my 30 day trial is almost up.
