I am having a performance issue with Win 10 on Parallels Desktop, and I just can't seem to solve it. So, I am looking at giving Fusion Player (free version) a try.
Two questions:
1. I am using mojave, and so it seems that I cannot use Fusion 12 Player with mojave. Is it possible to download Fusion 11 Player?
2; Can I import my Parallels .pvm Windows virtual machine? I want to avoid installing all my software again, even if I can find the licenses for everything!
There is no fusion player 11. If you upgrade to Catalina (or Big Sur) you can use Player 12. You'll want to uninstall the parallels tools inside your VM before bringing it into Fusion (make a copy first!)
You can download it from here: https://my.vmware.com/group/vmware/downloads/details?downloadGroup=FUS-1155&productId=798&rPId=43704. I found that the latest version supported by 10.13.6 (High Sierra) is version 11.5.3, but Mojave supports 11.5.4 or 11.5.5 (I forget which).
That’s Fusion v11, which requires a paid license. There was no Fusion Player prior to v12.
