Can I run a VMWare image create in Windows or Linux, in Fusion?

I have been using VMWare for Windows and Linux for years. I am a software developer and have a separate VMWare image for each client.

I am moving to an Apple platform (macbook Pro and strongly recommend it for my peers...) for my development efforts and am wondering if I can run my existing images in Fusion.

One would think that by now then you'd know it's VMware not "VMWare".

am wondering if I can run my existing images in Fusion.

Yes, however if there are fully qualified pathnames in the Virtual Machine's .vmx configuration file they will need to be adjusted accordingly.

I prefer VmWaRe, or sometimes vMwArE.

But Jesus, Thank you so much for correcting me on the completely useless information on how the VMWare marketing team prefers it be capitalized. What would I have done if I had installed VMWare instead of VMware? I shudder to think of the carnage that would have been wreaked upon my poor hard drive.
