Can I force the mouse to stay in my Virtual Machine

I have a windows XP virtual machine on my macbook, and I want to play Age of Empires! Unfortunately, one scrolls around in this game by moving the mouse to the edge of the screen, but this is impossible to do without the mouse leaving the virtual machine because VMWare automatically redirects input to my mac.

Is there any way to turn off this feature of VMWare tools? (Changing to full screen doesn't help, because age of empires cannot run in full screen due to its low resolution.)

THanks!

Have you read the Gaming with VMware Fusion section in the Release Notes?

In addition to Woody's suggestion for the gaming mouse mode, see : Fit Full Screen for how to get better full screen behavior.
