CPU usage with 4.0.1 - vmware-vmx

running new Fusion 4.0.1 with windows XP pro, but vmware-vmx CPU usage is off the charts -- averaging 60% and peaking at over 110%.  I cannot seem to stop it.  What do I do now?

What machine are you running this on?  Can you post the hardware specs?

MacBookPro - early 2008 - model 4,1

2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

4 GB of 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

OSX Lion 10.7.1

Bus Speed:     800 MHz

Boot ROM Version:     MBP41.00C1.B03

SMC Version (system):     1.28f3

not much free space on hard drive, but enough - 64 GB

I rebooted twice and its calmed down a bit, but vmware-vmx is still averaging 20% CPU usage
