Has anybody tried BootCamp 1.4 and VMware?
Nope, but shouldnt change anything since its just updated drivers and help. Since VMware uses slightly different drivers it wont matter.
I thought we were supposed to install Mac Boot Camp Drivers after installing VMWare Tools... won't this mean some overwriting of VMWare Tools..
No it won't affect it.
Bootcamp 1.4? When did that come out? Is it just new drivers?
Are we really supposed to reinstall the bootcamp drivers after Fusion Tools? I wasn't aware of that.

Bootcamp 1.4 beta was released yesterday. http://www.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/
From the Apple site:
Boot Camp 1.4 beta includes:
Support for keyboard backlighting (MacBook Pro only)
Apple Remote pairing
Updated graphics drivers
Improved Boot Camp driver installer
Improved international keyboard support
Localization fixes
Updated Windows Help for Boot Camp
I know this isn't a Bootcamp forum, but I can't find any instructions on how to upgrade from Bootcamp 1.3 to 1.4 anywhere. Not in the installer docs. No tutorials via Google. Nothing.
Got any tips or pointers to tutorials?

Well...there is the Installation & Setup Guide (PDF) for once as well as the Boot Camp forum...
Ciao, Andreas
I tried it today.
\- removed VMware Tools - I had activation issues, this is why I took this step.
\- booted into BootCamp
\- updated tools
\- booted into VMWare
\- reinstalled tools
All seems to work ok. Your mileage may vary!

In Windows...Add/Remove Programs
Install BootCamp 1.4, you can then create a driver CD.
Instead of burning a CD, I normally just right-click on the BootCamp Assistant to show the Package Content. Then navigate to Contens/Resources, which contains a DiskImage.dmg. I mount it, and copy the installer to a flash drive. It's around 325MB now.
Boot BootCamp, plug in the flash drive, and run the installer. It will update or install as needed.
