Black windows screen in catalina

When I load vmfusion in Catalina I just get a black screen. I have followed the suggested work around but fusion does not appear in screen recording. It seems impossible to get live support for this. Suggestions please

Version of Fusion?

Version of Windows?

Has Windows ever worked in the VM?

What might have changed since it last worked?

What was the suggested workaround?
