Black screen on VM (running Windows 10) after wake up from sleep (Fusion 12.x)?

Hi All,

Got this annoying thing, when my Mac goes to sleep [12.6]  and the VM with (latest) version of Windows 10 [Fusion 12.2.4 (20071091)] the screen is black.

I can move my mouse pointer, but the only way to get it going is a restart of the VM.

Anybody got a idea how to slave this?

Thanks!

I know others here may have different experience, but I've found having the host sleep while a VM running to be consistently problematic.  Best practice is to manually sleep the guest before sleeping the host.  You can prevent the host from sleeping by going into system preferences and checking 'prevent host sleep when screen blanks' under the energy settings.  Apple has gotten overly aggressive with system sleep IMHO - the energy used while the screen is off and applications idle is really minimal.

Did you go into Advanced Settings for the VM and check the "Pass Power Status to VM" box?

VMtools installed (working fine) and pass power is checked.
