Best practices upgrading to Fusion 3 with Fusion 2 VMs ?

I have been using Fusion 2.0.6.

I've just downloaded Fusion 3.0.

What would be the best way to start using Fusion 3.0 ?

Install 3.0 over the existing 2.0 or Uninstall 2.0 before installing 3.0?

What changes, if any, will be made to the VMs once I run them under Fusion 3? (VMware Tools?)

Will the existing 2.0 VMs need to be or will they automatically be "upgraded" to 3.0?

Will the VMs become tied to Fusion 3.0 after I start using 3.0?

Would a fallback to Fusion 2 be possible after using Fusion 3?

Thanks

If anyone has suggestions it would be great - particularly as it applies to performance. I'd rebuild my Window's VMs if there was a benefit. It sounded from the readmes like there might be a benefit from new installs for WinXP (memory use) but I couldn't figure out why or how much.
