I am running XP Pro with Fusion 4.1.1 under OS X 10.6.8.I mainly use the VM to run QuickBooks Pro. Besides QB, my only additions have been Microsoft Security Essentials, Firefox, Safari, CCleaner and PrimoPDF. I don't use Snapshots and I keep all my data in a shared folder in OS X.
When I created the VM several years ago, I had a disk image of 6 MB with about 2 MB used. Since then I have increased the disk image to 15 GB, with about 9.5 GB used when shrunk, although after a while it goes up to about 11.5 GB.
In case it matters, my hard drive (MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo 3.06 GHz) is 500 GB, with about 120 GB used.
What benefit, if any, would I get from increasing the size of the disk image? What size would you recommend?
Thank you,
David
