BSOD Fusion 7 Windows 7 x64 - two different ways

I've got a recent MBA running Yosemite. I've run Win 7 x64 Enterprise in Boot Camp with no problems. I wanted to compare current versions of Parallels and Fusion. I imported the Boot Camp partition into Parallels and have run it without a hitch for 10 days. I imported it at the same time to Fusion and kept getting a recurring BSOD/windows recovery loop. Today I tried importing the Parallels VM into Fusion. Import worked fine and the initial boot went fine, installing the VMware tools. After reboot, however, I got the BSOD/recovery loop again. I've tried disabling parallels, VMware and 3rd party devices (from Safe Mode), starting without unnecessary services, going through the whole recovery process, and reviewing a bunch of technotes in VMware's support KB. Can't get the thing to boot except in safe mode. Any ideas? I hate to choose Parallels without being able to give Fusion a fair shake. I've used both in the past with decent luck. Thanks.
