Currently VMware Fusion only supports up to FreeBSD 11. Version 12 of FreeBSD has been out and solid for quite a while. Any plans to make it an official supported system?
It runs ok - I guess I am ok until I have to submit a support request.
Any optimization tips? Is it still recommended to change the clock tick to 100 Hz?
One virtual cpu still the recommended way to go?
It came out mid-december, but that was after our major release.
Typically we add new OS support in major releases, and in point-updates we work to address things that got released after our release window. This is one of those cases.
We consider FreeBSD a 1st priority OS, but we're unable to communicate release timelines due to corporate governance rules, etc.
Thanks for the information.
Any current recommendations on clock tick setting to 100 and/or use of 2 or more virtualize cpus for Freebsd?
