A bug on 1.1.2: dvd bay never close after ejected a dvd

I think fusion 1.1.2 has a small bug on dvd management. Under windows OS (XP, Vista, on W2k08 Server) I tried, after ejecting a dvd/cd is impossible to close the bay through the keyboard key. I have to disconnect the hardware from the vm menu releasing the dvd rom to Mac OS, then close it, and reconnect on the running VM.

ensure that you have selected the option "Enable Mac OS keyboard shortcuts" in VMware Fusion Preferences . any you may try using third party tool "CDDtray" :

I tried with MacPro to close the CD/DVD drive from the VM using Eject Key. After then i came to know it won't work with Macpro.

Is it the known issue with Fusion?

Thanks Maddy, I checked with your suggested tool. but it worked only for Win XP

I will check later if the option is on or off. In any case I think it's turned on, since I can open it, so something is checked.

I will look throught the small tool too, butFusion team should have a look into the possible bug, since it's unbearable use a tool to open / close the dbd bay.

It's a known issue that the eject key can open but not close a drive tray.
