3D Support in VMware Fusion

Hi-

I am running Windows 7 on VMware Fusion on my iMac.  My Windows machine is showing that my display adapter is the VMware SVGA 3D (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM) but when I try to run 3D applications I am getting an error message that I cannot run them because my hardware doesn't support 3D.

Is there a work around for this?  The exact message is:

"Advanced 3D cannot be enabled due to the limitations of your graphics system."

Some games and applications have higher requirements then the Fusion virtual graphics device provides.  Which specific application are you trying to run?

It is a medical imaging software.  Is there a way for me to tell?

The application might have system requirements listed, or if you can link to the site I can take a look here.
