I tried installing 10.13 APFS and failed. After checking few blogs i realized that its unsupported yet. Is there any tentative schedule for supporting 10.13 APFS in VMware Fusion ?
Check out the new technical preview. That capability is likely to only be found in the new version - and it includes experimental support for APFS. Not for use in a production environment of course.

I'm presently running a High Sierra VM (on top of Sierra). I converted the virtual Macintosh HD to APFS and have had no problem whatsoever. For me, it works fine with VMware Fusion 8.5.8.
