Has anyone done these VMware certifications - VSP - VTSP

Hi All,

I would just like to know if anyone has done VSP (VMware Sales Professional) or VTSP (VMware Technical Sales Professional) couses or exams?

I would like to ask some basic questions, if someone wouldn't mind messaging me, it would be much appreciated.

I know many people who have done both of those. In comparison to something like VCP, VSP is pretty basic, VTSP is quite technical but still not as tough as something like VCP. What do you want to know?

I have done VSP (all tracks) and VTSP (all tracks) and all the VAC accreditations I have access in Partner Central

The company I work for are trying to become vmware partner and I and some others need to certify on vsp and vtsp, I heard its like hald day online course, then you can take the exam online. is that true?

Yes, for both the VSP and VSTP certification training and exam are deliverd on line directly from VMware through the MY LEarn portal -

For the benefit of VMware customers reading this who have not heard of VSP and VTSP: I'd like to note that these, strictly speaking, aren't certifications but rather accreditations. They're only applicable to VMware partners, and they're tied to various partner programs. They would not be of interest to end customers, as VCP and VCDX are.

These VSP, VTSP and accreditations are only needed if you're working for a VAC partners in this case if you're looking to attain VAC status or accredits to performance services, then all your Sales and Engineers would grant access to Central Partner portal and register for those modules and its very easy. Most of the questions between 10-20 questions and its very easy all informations are through the flash modules if you listen if not your own experience will definitely answer 60% of the questions but you need 80% to pass so best to listen and focus. Godo news is you have unlimited retries so good luck. Among VSP & VTSP they are also 4 different accreditations you can certified in. BTW, I had access to Partner Central 16 months ago but never completed it until last weekend, I spent one whole day to complete 4 accreditions and VSP & VTSP so that's not hard if you really want to get it quickly. (mine is mandatory due to new project with a VAC partner)

Also for "normal" partner are useful, cause there are (from last month) new requirements for partner programs.

I agree that are not really certification but "simple" accreditation.

But some VTSP courses are quite interesting also for a VCP. For example the HA module is very well explained.
