Hello,
will there be a course "What's new in vsphere 4.1"?
Thanks for some information, if anybody knows.
MCP, VCP
I work very closely with the Education Services team at VMware, and there's been no mention of such a course. That's not to say it won't happen, but I doubt it will. Keep checking the course catalog at to see if anything changes.
The vSphere: Install Configure Manage course is being updated for 4.1, the new version will be available from the end of August: http://vmwaretraining.blogspot.com/2010/07/new-5-day-install-configure-manage.html

Hi,
thank you for this information.
MCP, VCP
An online self-paced "What's New in vSphere 4.1" is on the way and should be ready within a small number of weeks.
That's good news Brian, and has been kept incredibly quiet ![]()

You know what a bunch of shrinking violets we are. ![]()
Your point is well-taken, Scott. We should do a better job of publicizing our eLearning plans to our VCIs. Even though VCIs don't deliver our eLearning courses, they are still good resources both for the instructor and also their students.
VATCs haven't been told either Brian... ![]()

Thats sounds very good!!!

And there will be only an onlien self-paced course, no classroom training?
MCP, VCP
@Scott - Sigh. Are you coming to Copenhagen? You can beat me up about this in person there.
@krowczynski - Although there are no plans to produce an instructor-led version of "What's New in vSphere 4.1," various existing vSphere courses will get vSphere 4.1 updates. For example, our basic vSphere/vCenter course, VMware vSphere: Install, Configure, Manage has a new 4.1-based version, although it focuses on the overall vSphere/vCenter Server system rather than specifically on 4.1 new features. I am not prepared to announce other 4.1-revised courses today; sorry.

Hi,
thanks for your quick answer.
But I think the selpf-paced thing will be also ok.
MCP, VCP
Brian, yes I will be in Copenhagen, and will be attending the VCI day on the Monday too - not sure there's any "beating up" to do though, it's just good to hear more about what you guys are up to ![]()
