Hi,
I attended instructor led VMWare sponsored training course about 2-3 years ago. If I want to get VCP 5 certified, does VMWare 3 course qualify???
Thanks,
Nelson
HEllo,
No, You need do a new course V5 to take VCP510.

And old course is not enough. As written in the previous post see the certification path on the VCP page.
You can choose to attendee to a VCP4 course, take the VCP4 certification and then the VCP5 certification (but until the end of feb 2012) or go directly to the VCP5 path.
Andre
i would advise attending v5 class as there are a lot of new features and functions and the architecture has changed significantly too.
Your VI3 course does not qualify you for VCP5.
You would qualify for VCP4 if you attended a vSphere 4: What's New course (if you can find a provider running that course), you could then pass the VCP4 exam AND the VCP5 exam before the end of Feb 2012, from March 2012 VCP4 holders also have to attend vSphere 5: What's New to qualify for VCP5.
Your other option is to attend vSphere 5: Install Configure Manage and take the VCP5 exam. There will be higher-level vSphere 5 courses that would also qualify you for VCP5, but those courses have no release date as yet.

Hi. What would be the quikest/easiest route to get certified on this?

Assuming you want to get your VCP5 and you're new to the world of VMware training and certification, you need to attend the instructor-led vSphere 5: Install Configure Manage training to qualify for VCP5 certification, and pass the VCP5 exam too.
