Anyone here a VCI

I have been approached by a company to provide VMWare training. I am wondering how this has worked out for others. How many classes a month are you getting? Is it dependable?

It depends what type of training. Training for VMware comes in two flavor which has to be VMware designed curriculum and that's only provided at VMware Authorize Training Center with VCI certified instructor. You can teach VMware courses to corporate staff like knowledge transfer session than its okay. It is very strict if you're VCI and you have to check their regulations what you can/can't do to be safe.

If you can score 85% from VCP exam, you're eligible to become potential VCI. You must sit for another VCP class co-teach with an experience VCI and that would get your certified but you have to contact training departments for details.

As far as I know, VCI seems to be very demanding and stable if you have fix class schedule with VMware. You can contract with VMware or others like www.vmtrainers.com they have good list of VCI independently doing and booked up.

This company will be providing for vmware and is going to get me my VCI to be able to do so. Do you teach these classes? How many do you average per month?

I'm not a VCI but can certified at time if willing to sit the course with VCI again. Its a matter of interests and traveling issues. I do consulting right now and its fixed client for several years or longer. I might be doing it when it comes, but most of my friends are VCI and they are some pros/cons. If you teach for VMware, then its being schedule depends on registered students online for each locations. Its worldwide, so i'm sure its very demand and busy. You can engage with vmtrainers.com and get some details by looking at their calendar always book in 3-6 months ahead.

I am a VCI - VMware is now allowing companies in the US to become VMware Authorized Training Centers - until recently VMware was the only company providing VMware Authorized Training to the public in the US - if the company truly is going to be a VATC it will depend on how many classes they are willing to offer - if they are getting training through VMware my experience has been as few 1 per month to the whole month - it all depends on the amount of classes VMware is offering including onsite classes purchased by customers - confirm that the company you are looking at joining is a VATC or how they will schedule their training classes -
