Hi!
We are running VCF 4.4.1. and in Vmware LogInsight we are getting this error from all the hosts repetitively
esx06.vcf VSANMGMTSVC: error vsand[2105729] [opID=Thread-2 VsanHealthUtil::wrapper] Error to run _getIPv6AddressFromEsxCLI Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/vmware/vsan/perfsvc/VsanHealthUtil.py", line 2442, in GetVsanVmknicConfigFromVSI File "/usr/lib/vmware/vsan/perfsvc/VsanHealthUtil.py", line 2633, in _getIpv6AddressFromVsi Exception: Not supported During handling of the above exception, another exception occurred: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/vmware/vsan/perfsvc/VsanHealthUtil.py", line 1720, in wrapper File "/usr/lib/vmware/vsan/perfsvc/VsanHealthUtil.py", line 2589, in _getIPv6AddressFromEsxCLI File "/lib64/python3.8/site-packages/pyVmomi/VmomiSupport.py", line 252, in __getattr__ AttributeError: ip
Does anyone have any idea regarding this type of error. If so what can be the solution?
With Regards
Al
Did you recently upgrade environment if yes plx check this

Hello
This error is reported from vsanmgmt.log on the ESXi and is being reported to vrealize log insight .
IF we are not using the ipv6 in the environment , then this check shouldn't be even there .
I would suggest you to raise case with support , to get clarity , for now its looks like it can be ignored.
No we didn't upgrade the environment in recent days
Do you see any issue on the VC or any Alert on the VSAN health Check ? if u both are green u should have any problem.
But if u are looking for a reason why vrli reporting that error from the vsanmgmt logs , and check if IPV6 is disable on the ESXI better to open a GSS ticket .
As we see there was an error while running the _getIPv6AddressFromEsxCLI command in the VSAN Health Service Utility on the esx06.vcf host.
The error message indicates that the command encountered an exception while trying to retrieve IPv6 address information from the vSphere API.
The error message suggests that the VSAN Health Service Utility is unable to retrieve IPv6 address information from the vSphere API, likely due to the specific configuration of the esx06.vcf host.
-First thing to check is, review the configuration settings for the esx06 host and ensure that all necessary parameters are set correctly.
eg: network settings, firewall rules, and ESXi host configuration.
-Make sure esx06 version is compatible with other hosts in the cluster and ensure they are up-to-date.
-Always, check VSAN health from both Vcenter GUI and ESXi CLI :"esxcli vsan health cluster list"
-In worst case scenarios, if any of the VSAN Health Service Utility dependencies are currupted or not configured properly on this target esx06 host, that could also show problems like this.
-if this doesn't help, then consider reaching out to VMware support for further assistance.
