upgrade vrealize products independently without VCF???

Currently I got an infrastructure of VCF 3.7.1 and various products are installed, such as vRealize Operations...

I found that the upgrade of software components can be upgraded via the SDDC manager, however, I would like to know what would happen if I upgrade the appliances without using VCF?(e.g. NSX-T or vRNI)

Will the SDDC manager conflict with the new appliances that i upgraded independently?

just saw the product interoperability and found that there's specific version of software components supported by specific VCF versions,

so I guess the newer version of software components will not be identified by VCF and could not be used?

Correct, if it is part of a VCF built environment, do not upgrade anything outside of the SDDC Manager stack.  Doing so will cause you problems.

Well my friend VCF has something called as BOM . Any VCF components has to be upgraded via SDDC Manager. if you are not doing that then u are breaking VCF (VVD Design ) .

when it comes to vRealize Products it is all managed by VRSLCM which has your VRNI, VRLI , VRA , VROPS, VRO .

Follow the BOM and upgrade via SDDC , that is the One of Main Feature of VCF single point of LCM upgrade https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-Cloud-Foundation/3.10/vcf-310-upgrade/GUID-E101AFB5-1034-4CF9-B96E...

Hi @viquarhcimca

do you mean even the upgrade of ESXi hosts(of workload domain, for example) need to be done by the SDDC manager?

It's not allowed to upgrade patches for ESXi without using the VCF?

If you really want to run higher versions of vRealize Suite than the one in the BOM for your VCF version, it may be supported to deploy vRSLCM manually without SDDC Manager integration. I said may be supported because it can depend on the version of VCF.
