minimum VLAN-routing requirement for bringup?

Hi

Does anyone know if there's routing requirement for VLAN in the deployment of VCF? (e.g. version 4.3~4.5)

I see that the parameter guide undoubtedly demand the utilization of VLAN id so that the vmkernel traffic and nsx overlay transportation could work.

However, not so confident about whether the inter-VLAN routing should be enabled for some of the traffic or not??

Any idea?

thanks~~

Frankly all these requirements are very much available in documentation and blogs.

Still to ans your Q -> 4 VLANs min ( mgmt/vmotion/vsan/tep)

if planning to use edgenodes/T0/overlay networking -> Add 3 more

2 Uplinks for Edgenodes trunk port

1 Edge TEP

Additionally to what has been said above, you can also check the VCF Planning & Preparation workbook or the bring-up Excel file from customer connect.vmware.com of download this file from the Cloud Builder VM once it is deployed.

This should give you a general idea how to plan your VLAN's for VCF deployment.
