You can't deploy Workload Management (vSphere with Tanzu) to a workload domain with NSX-T Federation

Hi,

With regard to the following:- (from the vCF 4.4 Release notes)

VMware Cloud Foundation Known Issues

  • Workload Management does not support NSX-T Data Center Federation

You cannot deploy Workload Management (vSphere with Tanzu) to a workload domain when that workload domain's NSX-T Data Center instance is participating in an NSX-T Data Center Federation.

    Workaround: None.

Can someone please elaborate on the restrictions here? Why they exist and whether they are likely to be resolved in the next release. When planning for multiple vCF instances in different regions using NSX-T federation is very useful as also is the ability to deploy containers via Tanzu.

Will it still be possible to use TKGI and still federate our NSX-T instances please?

Thanks
