VCF 3.7 vCenter deployment and enhanced linked mode

well yes, I'm talking about version 3.7, quite old.

I'm currently examining an old infrastructure of VCF 3.7 and would like to clarify doubts to confirm technical details to deal with the  false information about this infrastructure.

Just found this post: https://blogs.vmware.com/cloud-foundation/2019/10/14/single-sso-domain-with-multiple-vcf-instances/ and it's helpful, however, there's differences between version 3.7 and 3.8's parameter excel.

Does one VCF instance deployment only allow 1 vcenter + 2 PSCs to be installed? there's can't be 2 vcenters in a VCF deployment?

There's no "region" section in VCF 3.7 excel parameters therefore it's not possible for the deployment process to join any existing vCenter SSO?

In order to enhanced link two VCF 3.7 domains together, the only way is to complete the two VCF deployment first and then configure the enhanced linked mode between theses vCenters?(different from version 3.8, which allows to join existing SSO during the deployment process)

A VCF 3.7 environment is allowed to join a non-VCF vCenter SSO domain and vice versa?

Hope these doubts are not too stupid.

Thanks in advance!

We have move to VCF 4.x With no External PSC , so i would suggest to spend time on that . However to answer your question .

Does one VCF instance deployment only allow 1 vcenter + 2 PSCs to be installed? there's can't be 2 vcenters in a VCF deployment? 3.x Version MGMT will only have 1 VC & 2 PC it gets deployed. Each WLD will only have 1 VC . when you create the VI WLD u will only Create the VC and use the exisitng sso and PSC . Both the PSC will be replicated .

There's no "region" section in VCF 3.7 excel parameters therefore it's not possible for the deployment process to join any existing vCenter SSO? Nope , but if you are doing a VCFonVxRail Deployment , in that case u will have to run a VVD script to externalize the VC  .

A VCF 3.7 environment is allowed to join a non-VCF vCenter SSO domain and vice versa? Your Cloud Builder deployed all your components .

VCF 3.x use VVD 5.x Design , to under more u can refer the below doc
