vSphere tags in vROPS

We need access to vSphere tags in vROPS. As far as I know this was not possible with vCOPS 5.x. Is it possible now?

Yes it's possible to access vSphere tags in vROPs... with the exception of vSphere tags on "Cluster Compute" objects. This is a bug/oversight and should be fixed in 6.1 (hopefully).

It doesn't look like the bug was fixed with 6.1. Was hoping to use tags to blacklist VM Templates and Archived VM's. Anyone know where they are at with fixing the tags in "Cluster Compute Objects"?

Actually I take this back. It just took some time for the tags to populate!

How long did it take to populate?  We just finished adding tags in vCenter to use to build custom groups in vROps last night, however, I'm not seeing all the tags yet.  Just wondering if there is a limit or if it will tag a day or two to populate into vROps.  We are running v6.2.0a.

Thanks!

Same issue here with 6.2. GSS have replicated the issue and escalated the issue, will update when I have a response.

For anyone still having issues seeing tags in vROps the fix was pretty simple for me. It was actually a permissions issue with the account you are using for the vCenter adapter. I had given it admin privileges, but that wasn't enough. Once I gave the service account global read only permission the account was able to read the tags.
