I'm looking to replace Dell OpenManage Essentials (yeah it's old) and I don't want to move to Dell OpenManage Enterprise, other than missing the updating functionality it looks like the MP can poll SNMPv3 for hardware alerts and I can setup the same Email alerts on specific alerts if triggered. My question is how do I configure the hosts? In the MP it says SNMPv3 has to be used, under advanced settings it needs to be set to true. On the host I need to create an SNMPv3 user but with what permissions? Read-Only or Operator, do I set vROps as the trap destination in iDRAC? The documentation doesn't go into getting alerts from the iDRAC, thanks.
