vRO Workflow State Alerting and Monitoring in vROPs

Hi there,

I'm looking for a way to create a dashboard that shows the current/last status of all my vRO workflows in vROPs(Successful, Failure, etc). Basically, I want to be able to see the state, possibly report on certain output variables (if possible), and also alert if any workflow fails.

I'm expecting some of this can be done within vRO itself, but we are only allowed to monitor/alert/email from vROPs. I've got the Management Pack installed, but I can't seem to find a way or metric that can help me get the last state of the workflow and then setup an alert.

If anyone has done this or has some ideas/workarounds, please let me know.

Strangely I'm not able to find any metrics/stats for the job status in the MP 😞

Looks more like a job inventory only.

You can create alerts based on 'message event' matching.

For us, we did a message event symptom with message containing "vRO Workflow failure"  Criticality is symptom-based.
