vCOPS 5.6 plugins

I recently upgraded our vCOPS vAPP from 5.0.3 to 5.6 and noticed that the vCenter plugin didn't change from 5.0.3 to 5.6.  Is that how it's supposed to work?

According to the upgrade doc in the Release Notes they don't mention anything about the vcenter plugin changing or needing to unregister and regrister a vCenter to upgrade the plugin so 'I'm stuck in this Is it needed? Should I do it anyway?' thought loop.

Any help would be appreciated.

Matt

The version shown in the vApp when viewed from VI-client won't change - this is expected.

You have to reinstall the product, if you want't it to say 5.6 Smiley Happy

do you have some problem with using the product now, or it's just the version that bothers you?

After upgrading ours I noticed the same thing; the plug-in still showed as being version 5.0 with no prompt to download a new one or upgrade it.. Eventually though, after perhaps restarting the vsphere client a few times, or the vcops appliance, the plug-in version changed to 5.6.0.923459. I thought that was strange.
