Where are vCOPs metrics defined?

Hello community,

It must be me but I'm unable to find where vCOPs metrics are defined in the documentation, nor can I get a good hit on the web.

Does anyone know where I can get precise definitions of each metric shown in vCOPs/Operations/All Metrics?

Thanks.

There is a vCenter Adapter document on the vC Ops pubs site. At the bottom, below the current version release notes.

Yes, the VMware vCenter Adapter Installation and Configuration Guide contains a one line description of each metric.  I was hoping for something a bit more detailed that would explain how each metric is calculated and what they mean/how they can help troubleshooting.

Still, thanks for the pointer.

Other than the interpretations and recommendations in the vSphere UI, those one-liners are what we have to work with. The programmatic formulas for the derived metrics aren't publicly documented. However, the vCenter perf metrics are documented in the vSphere/vCenter  documentation.
