Question on Groups

I have a custom group full of selected virtual machine as the members, lets say all my domain controllers.

Each virtual machine on its own has its metrics, cpu, memory, disk, etc

When checking the metrics for the group, non of these are present, should they be?

If I wanted to make a metric chart and shortcut the process by selecting the group with all my domain controllers and show the cpu usage for everyone in that group, (for the week) that doesn't seem to work.  So I am assuming the metric would be for the group, not the members of the group.

I know I can create a metric chart and have an output filter with all my domain controllers manually listed, but that is a mission if I have a large number of them.

I am trying to avoid using supermetrics as they only start collecting stats once its been created and assigned, it doesn't allow for retrospective.

Thanks

Scott

Custom groups do not have any of those metrics. To have them on the custom group level you can leverage super metrics.

There are also some widgets which allow you to get data from those members by using the child option. For example, use object list and set interaction with a widget that supports configuration of parent/child relation.
