Operations

Hello,

I'm interested in trying out vCenter Operations. I did some reading and I found this on 1.0 release notes.

  • Datastore statistics is supported only for vCenter Servers and ESX hosts of version 4.1 and later.

All of my host are ESXi and was wondering will this work for me, if I go ahead and install it?

Hello.

ESX and ESXi are used interchangeably here.  As long as you have ESXi 4.1, you will get the datastore stats.

Thanks for the quick reply... I was a bit curoius because everyhting i see on the documentaion doesnt really mentioned ESXi host.

All of my host are ESXi 4.1 so I should be good.  I will download the software and proceed.
