How can I measure peak memory usage for a VM in the custom UI using a supermetric? I don't see an attribute kind under memory with the title "peak usage". I see "Demand (KB)" and "Usage(KB)". I can average these using an avg() function. But how can I determine the peak that a VM experiences in terms of memory?
Since when is memory measured in Hz ![]()
"Demand (MHz)" and "Usage(MHz)" are for CPU. You can't measure peak memory using them.
Why is it we got this 'similar' question on about 3 different posts in a matter of hours?
You've got the 1min-5min, and 15-min running avg for CPU, but beyond that you cannot "avg" these values for a specific resource.
Simply moving averages and sliding time-windows for SMs are something being mulled over/"asked for" for future releases, but right now it's not possible with the current 5.x versions.
If you graph memory usage for a vm, it shows you the peak for the time frame you are looking at.
