Can a friendly name be used in graphs rather than unique identifier?

I am creating graphs to monitor events and the best graph I can create shows the objects queried as their unique identifier numbers.  I'd like the graph to display using friendly names for those unique identifiers. Is this possible?

Are you saying you extracted a field and constructed a query that grouped by that field? Is the issue that the values are not really human readable and you would like to rename them?

We would call that a lookup table and this is not possible today. The best thing I could find on the community was this feature request: Geo-map visualization. While it is specific to IP, it could be applied to anything. Feel free to comment on it or open a new feature suggestion.

The only workaround in the product today is to add notes to the extracted field -- if you edit a field you will see an "i" in the upper right hand corner where you can add notes. I hope this helps!
