vRealize Orchestrator Actions Adapter for vCops

I wanted to reach out and see if any of you all are utilizing the vRealize Orchestrator Actions Adapter in vCops for vRO and vCops intergration.  vRO 6.0.3 is working out of the box with this solution but I am struggling to get vRO7 to work and get passed the "cant find getvcuuid workflow, full authentication required.

Anyone using this solution with vRO7 and if so how did you get it to work?

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steve,

I'm not using this adapter, but I've seen similar errors about full authentication being required in environments where:

  • vRO is configured with non-LDAP authentication; ie. SSO or vIDM
  • the client code is trying to invoke vRO REST API using basic authentication via username/password.

If your vRO 7 setup matches these conditions, could you open the file /etc/vco/app-server/vmo.properties and check if there is a property named com.vmware.o11n.sso.basic-authentication.enabled? This property is required for basic authentication to work over SSO/vIDM

So, if your don't have this property, could you add the following line to /etc/vco/app-server/vmo.properties file, restart vRO server (service vco-server restart), and check if the adapter now works?

com.vmware.o11n.sso.basic-authentication.enabled=true
