vCO 5.1 vCenter plug-in backwards compatibility

Hello, I'm curious if the vCO 5.1 vCenter plug-in can also control 4.x vCenters?  I have a situation where not all vCenters are at 5.x and a single vCO instance is desired.  It doesn't look promising according to the compatibility matrix, but figured I'd post the question for an official answer.

Thanks!

It should be compatible with vCenter 5.0 and 4.1 . The vCenter 4.0  was released long time ago. On theory, it should also work but you can face some issues. If most of the vCenters are 4.x probably using the older version of vCO would be preferable. However, if most of the servers are 5.1 or 5.0 and a few are 4.x then vCO5.1 should be able to do the job.
