Web Views deprecated. Options?

Our company has reached a point where we really need to start utilizing vCO. I have recently been doing some research and reading on vCO to become more familiar with it. One of our big items we need to address is the ability to have employees utilize a portal to build demo VMs. In my research I saw in older versions of vCO you could use web views, which looked exactly like the solution we were looking for, but I see it is being deprecated in newer versions. I really liked the ability to customize these web views to look and feel the way we wanted. We don't need something as robust as vCAC since we only have a couple processes to address, so I was just curious what other options I have for providing a customizable portal for our employees?

I am very new to vCO and there might be an obvious answer that I didn't stumble onto in my reading, so I apologize if this is kind of a dumb question.

There are 2 options for full custom UIs:

- the wavemaker based UI (available on labs.vmware.com)

- using any web framework that can interface with vCO REST API

vRealize Automation is the product that can also address this depending on your use case (the look is configurable)

- vSphere web client (but no look customization)
